Does AcquireMP need to be open to activate laser?
I have been advising staff and users to always open AcquireMP aftering turning on our OneMP in order to activate the laser and begin the ~45-60 minute warming required before the first measurement. However, when I turn on the machine alone, without the software, I noticed today that the laser is on when I peek under the lid. Is the software no longer needed to activate the laser?

Hi Chase,
The laser is always powered on with the instrument, but we recommend starting AcquireMP as well. This turns on other components within the system, which also benefit from the warm-up period.
