What does the error “Failed to execute script __main__” mean?
1. Usually, the reason for this error is an incomplete uninstallation of the application before reinstallation.
Solution:
Open in System Settings the dialog Add or remove programs
Scroll to AcquireMP or DiscoverMP, click Uninstall, and click through the uninstaller
Make sure the relevant application folder (C:\Program Files (86)\AcquireMP or C:\Program Files (86)\DiscoverMP) has been removed. If the folder still exists, delete it.
Install the application again.
2. For AcquireMP 2.3 this error occurs on some systems because the MCS2 software needs to be reinstalled.
Solution:
Download “MCS2_Installer_1.1.3.exe” from FileCamp “Third-Part software”.
No need to uninstall the old of MCS2, just double click the downloaded installer.
Keep clicking next without changing anything except to accept the user agreement.
Once the installation has finished restart the computer.
