Differences in "stickiness"?
I found the issue of different diffusion coefficients and their impact on MP mass distributions addressed in a couple of publications. But what about different affinities ("stickiness") of particles/molecules (present in the same sample) to the glass surface? I would be grateful for some references on this topic. Two more questions that go into a similar direction: Since one can estimate the rates at which particles/molecules at a given concentration hit the glass surface, did someone compare these estimates with the effective "landing rates"? And how does the accumulation of particles on the surface affect the "landing rate"? Again, some references would be helpful.

Indeed, I observed a factor 5 difference in "collision efficiency" between different proteins. In one case it was about 10 % for BSA and tg but a surprising 50 % for my protein of interest.
